Grab your balls & get ready for the first DWARRF Damage Competition!

To celebrate Steam Next Fest, from the 19th October 10:00 AM PDT (UTC-7) to October 26 at 10:00 AM PDT we will be hosting a competition to see how much damage you can do with a single ball in DWARRF.

The (1st place) winner will receive a $50 steam gift card & an ingame golden bobblehead to display on your minecart.
The (2nd place) winner will receive an ingame silver bobblehead to display on your minecart.
The (3rd place) winner will receive an ingame copper bobblehead to display on your minecart.

The ingame bobblehead will be available shortly after the winners are finalised and will be visible in both the demo and full game. I will be looking into converting these into steam items so you can show them off on your steam profile – but no promises on that front.
If you do not want your ingame bobblehead, you can nominate another steam account to receive it.

Rules are as follows:

Submission Rules:

• The full run MUST be recorded and uploaded to YouTube (public or unlisted).
• The recording MUST show the full (continuous) run, from the start (relic select) to the damaging ball you are submitting.
• The recording MUST also show the version number at some point during the recording (shown in main menu).
• You must EITHER post your run alongside the total damage from your ball on the discord server or as a comment to this blog post.

• Entries submitted after October 26 at 10:00 AM PDT will not count.

Qualification Rules:

• Damage done by one ball includes multiple targets and after relics have applied their bonuses. This is measured during a single turn until the enemies have ended their turn(s).
• You must not use mods, edit save files or otherwise manipulate the game in unintended ways for your submitted run. (If it feels like cheating, it probably is)
• You must be using the most up-to-date version of the demo which is currently 0.1.164.

Competition rules

• In the unlikely event of a tie, the steam gift card will be split evenly amongst the 1st place winners & in-game bobblehead award to multiple accounts.
• These rules can and will be updated throughout the competition, so check back to see if anything has changed.
  • I’m going to try and keep these rules as they are, but if some overpowered exploit or synergy is found that ruins the competition for everyone then I’ll have to make changes.
